25.05.25 JvB: On [Functionality management]: we happened to discuss this also with the participants of the USA and Canada trainings of this month, as they didn't know the term. The best fitting term they selected was [Business information management]: the task domain that bridges the business requirements to IT specifications. In Dutch, this is the term 'functioneel beheer', which is translated to English as 'specification management' as opposed to 'realization management'.
In the German translation, this is 'Spezifikation Management' as oposed to '*Realisierungs-*Management'.
In section 7.8 of the book, this is translated as 'Funktionsmanagement ('functionality management', 'design management', 'specification management')'.
